Assessing Religious & Spiritual Beliefs & Behaviors

Presenter bio

Sarah Stoune grew up attending mainstream church on Sundays and discussing spiritual and metaphysical topics with her Mother at home the rest of the week. This spiritual duality led her to explore the relationship between religion and spirituality and the ways in which peoples’ spiritual experiences unfold in both positive and negative ways throughout the lifespan. After working as a graphic artist and informally as a spiritual consultant, her desire to help those who are struggling with spiritual emergence and self-actualization led her to pursue a second career in Counseling. Sarah earned her Masters degree in Counseling from Texas Tech University in 2011and opened her own private practice, Partners For Change Counseling, LLC, in Lubbock, Texas in 2013. Sarah is passionate about creating a physically and emotionally safe space in which her clients can experience being deeply heard and supported, especially those who may have experienced rejection due to their identity or spiritual experiences.
