How I can help

My treatment approach is holistic, encompassing the mind, body and spirit connection. Recognizing that each person is unique, I utilize a psychospiritual, client centered and a humanistic approach. Providing a nurturing, caring, gentle, safe, respectful, compassionate, supportive and confidential environment is vital to the process of integration and empowering the individual. I have expertise in Spiritually Transformative Experiences and Mystical experiences and I am certified by the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences as an ACISTE Certified Mental Health Provider (ACMHP). I have expertise in Spiritually Transformative Experiences helping individuals to validate and integrate these experiences in their lives. STEs include near-death experiences (NDEs), near-death-like experiences (NDLEs), out-of-body experiences (OBEs), visions, spiritual emergencies, awakenings, kundalini experiences, higher states of consciousness, exceptional human experiences (EHEs), pre-birth memories, past-life memories, nearing death awareness (NDAs), after-death communications (ADCs), empathic or shared near-death experiences, peak experiences and mystical experiences. I have experience in supporting and helping individuals with the challenges of STE after-effects such as heightened sensory sensitivities and sensitivities to other peoples energies and emotions, increased intuitive abilities, value changes which may cause an individual to question ones career, relationships and choices not made based upon financial security but rather on their own sense of life purpose. I also have expertise in helping people with; support in helping to understand the challenges of the STE's after-effects and help with acquiring tools for dealing with the after-effects and helping with the resulting high levels of stress and alienation due to having to suppress or hide the increased feelings of love, compassion, oneness and the feeling that we are all connected. I offer a safe and compassionate environment to share knowledge and to understand other-world phenomenon and universal knowledge.

About me and my approach

My Personal Interest in STEs

I am a life long spiritual seeker and have always had a hunger for spiritual knowledge. I was motivated to study and investigate any means by which to connect to my higher self. I studied the Science of Creative Intelligence and it’s applications in developing higher states of consciousness at Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield , Iowa and have employed the practical aspect of this science, the Transcendental Meditation and TM Sidhis Program in my daily life since 1993. A turning point in my personal and professional life occurred when I experienced a shared death experience at the passing of my mother. With this experience I recognized the connection between spiritual transition and the experience of transcending through my meditation practice. In both instances, I experienced the spiritual reality of complete serenity, timelessness and bliss. After the SDE, I experienced several STEs and have experienced some after-effects which I have been able to integrate into my life. After these experiences, I studied Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs), Near Death Experiences, (NDEs), and Shared Death Experiences (SDEs) and incorporated this knowledge into my private practice. I am also a support group leader for an IANDS affiliated group, the Connecticut Shorelines IANDS.

My Philosophy

My philosophy working with STE clients is to be open-minded and open-hearted allowing the client the opportunity to share the experience. When an individual shares a profound life changing experience such as an STE it is imperative, as a therapist, that I validate the experience and assist the experiencer in integrating the experience in a supporting way, thereby dispelling feelings of loneliness and isolation, helping the client to feel understood. I utilize a psycho-spiritual, client centered and a humanistic approach. Providing a nurturing, caring, gentle, safe, respectful, compassionate, supportive and confidential environment is vital to the process of integration and empowering the individual.
