Residential Support at Retreat House: JasmineGardenOasis.com
I am a psychotherapist and spiritual director, as well as researcher in the field of integration of spiritually transformative experiences. The basic principle I use in helping people to integrate spiritually transformative experience is mindful and loving attention combined with personal experience and professional study of how to integrate spiritually transformative experiences. I draw upon personal experience of 35 years of kundalini awakening and Christian mysticism, combined with many decades of personal practices of meditation, centering prayer, yoga and QiGong/Tai Chi. In addition to in-person and on-line video consultations, my husband and I run a small residential guesthouse available for spiritual retreats and extensive directed retreats for individuals integrating spiritually transformative experiences. See JasmineGardenOasis.com.
I have been challenged by experiencing four spiritual emergencies at the the ages of 25, 38, 42 and 57. Each one was distinctly different, and each one required many years of diligent devotion to the process of integration of my own identity and of my work in the world. I am a former board member of ACISTE, a member of SEN (Spiritual Emergence Network), a researcher in transpersonal psychology, and an active member in a larger international research community working to make the world a better and safer place for spiritual emergence.
I approach each case individually, finding appropriate ways of helping each person with particular needs and desires to assist them in integrating their spiritually transformative experience and emerging into their spiritual calling. I treat each person mindfully and authentically with dignity, helping them to develop clearer connection and trust in their own inner knowledge, and drawing upon wisdom of spiritual traditions.
