Seeking Licensed Social Workers to Participate in New Research
LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS INVITED TO CONTRIBUTE TO FIRST RESEARCH IN THE FIELD ON WORKING WITH SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCERS
A note from the researcher:
Please assist me to build competence within the social work field, towards the non-pathologizing of the spiritual experience. I am a fellow social worker, whose passion is to assist individuals who are experiencing spiritually related difficulties. This passion stems from having experienced a spiritual crisis of my own and having had great difficulty, at the time, finding competent professional assistance.
I am currently a LCSW and doctoral student, conducting research to build spiritual competence within the social work profession. The main goal is to contribute to the social work literature, in the hopes of educating current and future social workers, and especially to prevent the pathologizing of the spiritual experience.
I would be extremely grateful if you could participate in an interview, regarding the work that you do when assisting individuals experiencing spiritual difficulties or crises. The focus of the interview would be on how, as a social worker, you came to assist those experiencing spiritual difficulties, and for the purposes of educating the social work profession, on how you assist those in need. I look forward to hearing back from you, with the hope that you can contribute to this very important research, which has been approved for human subjects by the Rutgers University Institutional Review Board.
If you are interested in participating in this important research or if you have any questions. please contact the researcher directly.
