Breakout Session: Alexander Doman, MD
WHAT DOES KABBALAH AND JEWISH MYSTICISM SAY OF THE SOUL AND THE AFTERLIFE?
Abstract
On July 19, 2012 driving home from work I experienced a complete immersion of self into divine love. When later stopped at a 10 minute traffic light during rush hour I experience a complete dissolution of self… of the “I” into the Self of the Divine. Following this profound STE I embarked on the journey of the rest of this lifetime toward understanding. The path has resulted in a deep immersion into Kabbalah and the world of Jewish Mysticism. I will speak of the intersection of Kabbalah and the transformation of the inner self and the levels of the soul that is at the heart of Jewish Mysticism. I will speak of what mysticism from the Jewish perspective says of the eternal nature of the soul and our quest for the ultimate union.
