AMERICAN CENTER FOR THE INTEGRATION OF SPIRITUALLY TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCES

Gary Seeman, PhD

GSWhistlerSM4Gary is a psychologist who practices in Vancouver, Washington. He became an ACISTE Certified Mental Health Professional in 2012 and was asked to help train ACMHP psychiatrists and psychologists in 2014, when he also joined the Board of Directors. Gary’s interest in spiritually transformative experiences began with a near death-like experience (NDLE) in 1977. He is a long-time meditator and sees STEs and everyday life challenges as integral to ongoing personal development. He takes an ecumenical approach to spirituality, having worked with teachers in several traditions. Gary was an analysand of the late Donald Sandner, M.D., author of Navajo Symbols of Healing and wrote his doctoral dissertation on C.G. Jung’s Seminar on Kundalini Yoga. His website features articles on many psychological subjects, including a subtle energy model of human development that integrates child development research, Jung’s individuation construct, and a practitioner’s understanding of the Hindu chakra system. His doctoral dissertation can also be accessed there. When/if he has spare time, Gary is an avid coffee hobbyist and a member of Team HB on Home-Barista.com.
